Pochi ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address to create your profile.
• Task data: Tasks, notes, dates, and categories you create within the App.
• Images and audio: Screenshots or voice memos you voluntarily submit for AI analysis. These are processed transiently and not retained beyond the extraction session.
• Calendar data: If you enable Google Calendar or Apple Calendar integration, we access your calendar events solely to sync tasks you explicitly choose to sync.
• Contacts: If you grant permission, we read contact names and emails to help you add attendees to tasks. We do not store or share your contacts.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage events (e.g. "task created") via PostHog. No personally identifiable information is collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the App's features
• To sync your tasks with third-party calendar services (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar) at your request
• To send task reminders and notification summaries
• To process screenshots and voice memos through AI models for task extraction
• To deliver invitation emails when you invite attendees to events

3. Google API Services

Pochi's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• We use Google Calendar API solely to create, update, and delete calendar events that you explicitly sync from Pochi.
• We use the Google People API (other contacts, read-only) solely to suggest contacts when you add attendees to a task. This data is never stored or shared.
• We do not use Google user data to serve ads or for any purpose unrelated to providing the App's features.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your task data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage (MMKV). When you are signed in, your profile and tasks are backed up to our secure cloud database (Supabase) protected by row-level security. We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Service providers: Supabase (database), OpenAI (AI processing), Anthropic (AI fallback), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), RevenueCat (subscription management). Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at contact@pochi-ai.app. Images and audio submitted for AI analysis are not retained beyond the processing session.

7. Children's Privacy

Pochi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
